Really like Llyr with your sibset and prefer that spelling.
Does the Welsh double L affect the pronunciation though? I suppose unless you are in Wales it doesn't really matter.

No, we are in Canada so no one would even know about the double L. I would probably use the "hl" sound at home but I wouldn't expect anyone else to.
