I like Heron for a boy, albeit as a mn. Frederick Heron and Elijah Heron are stock combos of mine. Plus, Heron is a surname so I can easily see someone using it for a child -- to pass down heritage. :-)
ETA: I didn't realize it was in the database as a Greek name. Bonus.

I know a 4-yr-old boy named Heron. Parents are avid outdoors people.
