[Opinions] Truett
What do you think of the name Truett for a boy?
I know it's rare, and we find it masculine and like the nickname True/Tru. Before naming our son due in a few weeks this, we want to make sure we aren't the only ones who like it.
Any comments on how it sounds, what you think of, whether you like it, etc are welcomed.
Thanks!

I like it. I think that it's very wearable.
It's a not uncommon last name around here, there is even a sub shop called Truitt's. It's considered sort of a hillbillyish last name.
I think it is unattractive for either a first or last name, and Tru or True seems hipsterish, and Hollywood.

True is tremendously cute as a nickname. I've never heard of Truett before, but it seems fine. Though I personally wouldn't use it since it's a surname and I would rather avoid using surnames as first names.
I like it; it's been on my list for a while now.
I see this as only a surname. I know a family of 3 boys with this surname, spelled with an 'i'
I don't particularly like it. I've never heard it before and it kind of looks and sounds made up, which is something I dislike.
The only other name with "tru" in that I can think of is Truman, which I don't really like either.
I would just use True but not as a nickname, I think.
