[Opinions] Chantilly
I heard this a while back. I think Chantilly would sound pretty as a name.I know that Chantilly is a town in France and a type of lace, but do you think it could work as a girls' name?

I know a Chantilly. She isn't very classy. Guess she puts me off. It reminds me like names such as Chantelle and Chardonnay. She's 17 btw

It makes me think of whipped cream. It would be a nice name for a white cat, but not a person.

I think it sounds cheesy. All I keep thinking of is the Big Bopper.

Isn't it also sweetened whipped cream? I'm just seeing a lace tablecloth with dessert spilt all over it. I really, really do not think it's even slightly suitable as a girl's name at all. Apart from everything else, would you have enjoyed life with a name that rhymes with Silly?

Chantilly is a huge GP of mine. I love it in theory, but to my eyes, it looks like a stripper. I'd probably use it as a stripper name if I ever did that for a living.

"Chantilly lace and a pretty face....and a ponytail, hangin' down" :)Really I wish I liked it more because it has a cool image for me. But I don't like Tillie either so I think that has a lot to do with it

I enjoy the sound and imagery/texture of lace, but I can't imagine this as a first name. Moira Chantilly is the first idea to come to mind.

It's a lovely sound but I don't care for it as a name.It also reminds me of the song which is now stuck in my head.

Yep... that song is most annoying to have stuck in your head. Same issue here.
