[Opinions] WDYTO Adelind?
Really digging this name lately, so much so that I put it on my shortlist. I think I prefer this spelling to Adalind. I love the fact that it's old German. I speak German and the name makes me think of fairy tales. Maybe the fact that it is used on the show Grimm encourages that...WDYT? I've come up with the combo Adelind Hazel with the occasional nn Lindy. I'm not sure about this combo though. Maybe something a little more feminine and simple. Any suggestions? Also do you prefer the spelling Adelind or Adalind?

Adelind is new to me. I already like Adelaide and Adeline, so I'm predisposed to enjoy this as well. I do prefer this to the Adalind spelling. Haven't seen 'Grimm'. I think Adelind Hazel is rather charming and "Lindy" is a sweet nickname. I'll try for some other "feminine, simple" ideas...Adelind Mary
Adelind Polly
Adelind Holly
Adelind Heidi
Adelind Mabel
Adelind Myrtle
Adelind Opal
Adelind Amy
Adelind Beatrice
Adelind Cora
Adelind Faye
Adelind Ivy
Adelind Joy
Adelind Julia
Adelind Mae
Adelind Pearl

Thanks for the opinions. I think after playing around with the combo a bit, I am finding that I am simply becoming more sure about Adelind Hazel as a combo. I think I was just worried that Adelind needed something more "normal" in the middle spot to be more approachable. But I think, as you mentioned, it will seem familiar enough to people as an "Adel-" name.

I like that much more than Adeline or Adelaide. The only thing I don't like about it (and about those names) is the "addle" sound in it. I don't think it's as bothersome in Adelind. I might rather spell it Adelinde, but I guess in German that'd be four syllables and so it doesn't make sense. I don't like Adalind. It reminds me of things like Madalyn and Isadora. Much less elegant than Adelind.Adelind Hazel is nice, although I don't care much for Hazel. nn Lindy is great.
