Help[Opinions] Dinah
I was watching Alice in Wonderland earlier, and I took a liking to her cat's name, Dinah. WDYT? Any strong opinions either way? I like that it's not very common, but it doesn't sound like the choice of someone who's trying way too hard either.

Perfect for a white cat, just okay for a human. That is my opinion.

I absolutely adore Dinah and it's fairly uncommon.

I think it's a really sweet name, and am surprised it isn't more common. I guess for some people the I've Been Working on the Railroad association might put them off it, as RoxStar pointed out. But I actually like that association, I think it would be cool to have your name in a folksong.

Perhaps where you live. I've never heard of it. I doubt it'd be an issue here.

I had a beautiful tabby alley-cat called Alice, and when we took over a pitch-black rescue kitten I named her Dinah. It seemed suitable.
I think it's purrfectly usable on a human; very nice, in fact. I once knew an English woman who was known as Dee, but it turned out that she was actually a Dinah and had been called Di by one and all until she read Kafka and decided that initials were more cool. So everyone always called her Dee. In her place, I'd have held out for the full name.
