I think Maisie is really cute. Perhaps too cute, but I do like it. It's getting rather popular though.
I would spell it Maisie. I've never seen Maisy and it just doesn't look quite right for some reason!
It depends on the name really, it's hard to say without knowing the name.
Jasper and Maisie don't exactly "go" together but it sounds alright.
I think Maisie Rose sounds better, although Rose is a bit fillery.

1. I LOVE Maisie! It's one of the sweetest, happiest names I can think of.
2. I prefer Maisie. I guess it just looks more correct to me, since I'd never seen Maisy until your post.
3. I can;t really say without knowing what your surname is. I don't think Maisie would sound too out of place on any ethnicity, though.
4. Sure.
5. Maisie Rose sounds better but I find Rose to be the most bland mn ever. I'd recommend something else.

1. What are everyone's general thoughts on the name Maisie / Maisy?
I like it. I used to hate it, tbh, thinking it too babyish to be borne, but I've warmed up to it a lot. The main character of a series I love is named Maisie, and thinking of it in relation to this capable, independent, and intelligent woman has sort of changed how I view the name.

Maisie. Maisy looks misspelled to me and makes me think of the storybook mouse.

5. Last question - Which combo sounds better, Maisie Rose or Maisie Rosa?
I want to say Maisie Rosa because Maisie Rose doesn't do a thing for me, but I really don't care for Rosa.

1. I *kind of* like it, but it reminds me of "mayonnaise."
2. Maisie, because I usually prefer -ie to -y.
3. No, I don't think so. People are used to different types of names these days.
4. Yes.
5. Maisie Rose. Very sweet.

I really don't like this name, any spelling of it. It sounds like a servant's name to me: "Maisie, quick, bring the master's shaving water!" "Maisie, you foolish girl, you've broken the teapot again!" I picture some bucktoothed girl with pigtails and an apron yes-ma'aming and curtseying all day long in between playing step and fetch it.
Jasper and Maisie sounds like characters in a little kids' storybook. Jasper and Maisie and the Witch's Cake or something like that.

1) Maisie has become very popular where I live (Britain) over the last couple of years, I think it is a sweet name but it is too sweet for me to use.
2) I think I prefer Maisie because I get Maisy confused with Macey which I pronounce differently, also Maisie looks more balanced and I generally prefer "ie" ending to "y".
3)Not at all, I think that if you say two names together enough times they will sound right together - only you can decide though.
4) yes, Jasper and Maisie sound brilliant as siblings.
5) Maisie Rose sounds better
