Yes, I think it is dated. I grew up across the street from a Mark in the 70s. It's such a typical 20th century New Testament-ish name (John, Michael, Matthew, Steven, James, Peter, Paul, Jason).
Marc, though, still seems crisp. I'd use Marcus nn Marc.
