How do I hate Jaime for a girl? Let me count the ways:
(1) "J'aime" is a phrase in French, pronounced "zhem." Not a name for either sex.
(2) Jamie is a traditional boy's nn, from James.
(3) Jaime is also a boy's name in Spanish, but pronounced "HIE-may."

Thanks for "j'aime"'s pronunciation!
I always knew it certainly couldn't be pronounced JAY-mee, but never knew the correct way to say it.
