Yeah I agree.

I like the nn Dita, Aferdita isn't my style but I don't think it is a bad name.

I prefer Afrodita and Aphrodite to Aferdita though (personal bias ;D)

Sounds like a corruption of Aphrodite. That's what it is, yeah, but that's exactly what it sounds like. A corruption. Pretty ugly and Dita isn't nice.

Ultimately sounds like a bad smell. Or what you'd say to describe a bad smell. "Oh, it smells like Aferdita in here. open a window."

Not sure how you expect me to answer that. That's just what it sounds like to us. Also Gretchen sounds like someone vomiting as they say it. Just one of those ideas that have no scientific basis other than "because".

There's that but almost all G names have that feeling for us. Thanks for trying to explain my reasoning to myself. Too bad it's partly wrong.
