[Opinions] Carsyn
I saw on Facebook a girl I used to go to school with had a baby boy today named Carsyn Allen. The flow isn't great but it is fine. Carson is okay but I don't like this spelling.

Urgh, I didn't even realize it was supposed to be a kr8tiv spelling of Carson, which I don't like anyway. Carsyn makes me think of "car sin".

When I saw the name Carsyn, I figured someone had feminized it for their baby girl. What is with this trend of replacing certain vowels with y's in Anglophone masculine names? I mean, I know in Welsh the -yn ending is technically masculine (though we still have feminine names like Bronwyn and Gwendolyn), but outside of Wales these 'y' names look remarkably feminine! I don't understand it.
Allen is fine, however.

I love Carson, but Carsyn is bad. It looks like a "feminine" spelling.
Ugh, Carsyn. I'm allergic to all -syn variants of -son names, like Madisyn, Emersyn, Addisyn...
And all -son names sound like surnames to me.

It's not the worst, but I don't really like it. I also immensely dislike the spelling.
The y made me think this was going to be a girl. I'm glad they're using Carson on a boy, but they should really lose the y.
