[Opinions] Shiloh
What do you think of Shiloh for a boy? I only thought of it again recently but it has really grown on me. I used to like it on a girl. I still think it's fine on a girl but I worry that people will always make the Angelina Jolie connection if I'd name a daughter Shiloh. At least I always think of the Pitt/Jolie daughter when I hear it on a girl whereas on a boy I think of it more as a place name.
1) What do you think of Shiloh on a boy?
2) What do you think of Shiloh on a girl?
3) Do you think the Pitt/Jolie association is too strong? Would you rather associate it with their daughter if you saw it on a girl than a boy?

I like it more on a boy than a girl, but I don't particularly care for it. I still think of the dog movie/book.

I dislike it.

It doesn't even enter my mind. I don't think it's too strong, and I wouldn't even worry about it.

I prefer it on a girl. I don't think it matters if you use it on a boy or a girl, the name is so unusual, so people would still think of Jolie and Pitt's daughter, at least if they knew her name. I do think it works on a boy though, but as I said, I prefer it for a girl. For me the Jolie/Pitt association isn't too strong, but I don't know how it would be in the US.
I actually quite like the name, but only for a girl. I too think of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, but that's only because I'd never really thought about the name before they used it. I wouldn't let that put me off using the name though and just because you use it for a girl doesn't mean you named the child after their daughter!
I like Shiloh on a boy, not on a girl. I just think it sounds too harsh and male for a girl.
Personally I don't care about celebrity baby names. Probably some people will think of Pitt and Jolie when they first hear the name, but I don't think that should be a problem. They'd get used to it, I suppose.

1 & 2. This is one of the very few names I like equally for a boy and a girl! I just think it suits both perfectly.
3. No. I don't think most people really care all that much about celebrity kids.
