I like Valerie. I think it's only a tad dated, because it has never struck me as a very popular name. I doubt it'll rise much in popularity.

I prefer Valerie to Valeria because it's more attractive- Valeria is too heavy and rhymes with "malaria." Valerie is light and youthful and cute.
