I think this name is just adorable!
What could it be a nickname for that isn't too far off? I'm not a fan of Lillian.. any others?

Lily is not usually a nickname. It stands alone and has for a very long time. Supposedly it started out being a nn for Elizabeth, but I think that today using it that way is trying too hard.
I don't like Lily very much at all. You're right that it's adorable, but it's adorable the way twin pigtails tied with pink bows, dresses with pinafores and lispy baby talk are all adorable. Meaning, it's sickly-cute and doesn't age well.
I always picture Lily as somebody's adopted Chinese daughter (for some reason Lily is very popular for adopted Asian kids) who owns thirty-four different princess costumes and throws a fit if she isn't allowed to wear them every single day.

It's overused in my opinion, I used to hate it but I'm warming to it ever so slightly. I'm also not a fan of Lillian but I absolutely adore Liliana - not sure if I would Lily as a nickname yet though. I think Lily is a very common name in it's own right and using it as a nickname for a beautiful name such as Liliana is ruining the full name for me.

I find it unattractive - and I know I'm outnumbered! Such dismal, funereal flowers, and so temperamental if one tries to grow them. And the sound is suspiciously close to 'silly'.
A good friend of mine is Elizabeth, and her older brother and sister couldn't get further than Lilli when she was born, so Lilli she has remained. Perhaps you might consider Elizabeth and use Lily/Lilli as a nn? The only actual nn I can think of for Lily is Lil, which is not pleasant.
