[Opinions] WDYT of Tapanga?
I just saw a girl who goes to my school and her name is Tapanga. The only time I've ever heard this name is from the name of the character on Boy Meets World who was the main character's crush. I never thought I'd actually meet someone with this name but I guess I was wrong. WDYT of it?It's definitely different and unusual and I actually kind of like it. :/

Sounds like a place or a food or something. I don't like it.

I think of underwear (tap pants) and panda bears. I don't like it at all.Topanga would be a little better, but I'm still not a fan.

I know it's weird, but it makes me think of tampons and tangas!

I thought her name was spelled Topanga?I once heard a woman call her daughter Topanga in a store back when I was checking, and I smiled and told her, "Oh, just like the girl from 'Boy Meets World'." She rolled her eyes and me and gave me a "YES!" like I had said the dumbest thing ever. Well, if you don't want people to make the connection...Anyway, I think it's stupid. Don't like it.

I'm guessing someone has already mentioned that is was actually Topanga (in Boy meets World).I've never really thought about the name, but it's pretty cool, actually. I think it could grow on me. Does the Tapanga you know get a lot of "Boy Meets World" comments, I wonder? Do people still know about that show?

Yeah someone did. I thought it was with an 'o' but the girl I know spells it with an 'a.' I'd think she gets a lot "Boy Meets World" comments; I know I'd joke about it. Alot of kids in high school know about BMW; I remember watching it as a kid.

It is as if one merged a fish and a fruit together,

Well, aside from the character (btw, she spelled it Topanga)...It really just sounds to me like a topical fruit, probably because of its similarity to 'banana' and 'Tropicana'.It also, naturally, reminds me of Topanga Canyon in California. I'm not a fan.

I thought she spelled it with an 'o' thanks for clarifying that.
