[Opinions] Iphigénie
I have to admit, I am enchanted by the name Iphigénie at the moment. It's just...fabulous. It's like a jewel falling out of my mouth every time I say it. Love. I'd probably call her Fi, which is a solfège syllable. ;)

I have to say I like the French pronunciation of Iphigénie far more than the English pronunciation of Iphigenia (the Greek prn. is my favorite). It's lovely, fun to say, and of course very uncommon.

Isn't this the name of Agamemons daughter? In the Iliad?
I like it alot, although not something you hear much in the UK.

Racine's Iphigénie is too tragic of a play for me to like the name despite how pretty it might sound.

I love your description! It's certainly exquisite. I'm also fond of Iphigenia.
