[Opinions] Re: Welsh BAs

Yay, new Welsh BAs! :-)
Elenid looks really pretty. What does it mean?
Is Alys a Welsh name or is it the English variant of Alice, as the database says? Either way, I quite like Lydia Alys. And I've always been a fan of Menna (be it the Welsh or the Frisian name).
Mabli, Gwilym and Caio are intriguing as well.
Thanks for sharing!

Alys is both, afaik - it works as a 'Wenglish' version of Alys and it's one of umpteen medieval English spellings used before standardisation.
I didn't know Menna was a Frisian name - I wonder if they're connected somehow. Looking at the birth records of Mennas here, there's a couple amidst all the Welsh Mennas who could be Frisian - one with 'Mistje' as a middle name and one with a very Dutch-sounding last name.
