Yeah, Carrie and Dorritt do sound quite strange for sister's names! Maybe if it was like Caroline "Carrie" and Dorothy "Dorritt" but still it's odd.
I don't mind Dorritt for a girl too much because of Charles Dickens' novel 'Little Dorrit' where the heroine is Amy Dorrit but she's often called "Little Dorrit" because she's the youngest daughter and a small mousie young lady. I don't really like the Dorritt spelling though.
