[Opinions] Shea?
how about this for a girl? Pronounced Shay. But being Irish, I should spell it the Irish way - Shea.

I love the name Shea, Shaye, Shay, or however you choose to spell it. I too, would use the name if I didn't already have a cousin with the same name!! I'm jealous!
I love Shea for a girl! and the traditional Irish spelling is the way to go. This is my cousin's name and when I think of Shea I think of a pretty, strong, smart and funny girl who is always the life of the party
I like the name, but I think it would be better to spell it phoentically (Shay)
I went to school with a boy named Shea, who was teased horribly about his name. No one could pronounce it right and I remember substitute teachers calling him She-ah, which the whole class had to laugh at and repeat. I really felt sorry for him.

I love this name! I have it as a mn for many combinations on my name list, but I like it for a fn too. You can look at my polls at the link below if you would like to see some of my combos. (Please vote too!)

Sounds nice, but the spelling is treacherous. Think Shea Butter. Find another way to spell it.
I really love this name. I think its sweet, but doesn't sound silly on somebody older either. And I really like the Irish spelling!
I love this one! I know a two year old Shea and she is so sweet. I would like to use it, but somehow it feels a bit incomplete to me-I wish there was a good name it could be a nickname for. Shaylyn is pretty but from comments I've read, people seem to view it as lower class. Too bad-though I can see that somehow. Anyway, very pretty!
I prefer Shaye or Shae. My niece's name is Shayenne (like Cheyenne) and goes by Shay. I like Shaye Elise or Madelyn Shaye. :)

Isn't the Irish way "Se" with an accent mark?
Seriously, this is a surname to me. I can't see it as a fn for either sex.

I don't like it at all. The only spelling I can tolerate for the name is Shey, because I once had a friend by the name. On a girl, Shea looks weird and trendy to me.
Random anecdote about Shea: When I was in elementary school, I read the Babysitters Club books, and one of the families they babysat for had three sons named Shea, Jackie, and Archie. I always thought that Shea pronunced his name SHEE-uh, like Sheila without an L.

And the old men march slowly, all bent, stiff and sore
The forgotten heroes from a forgotten war
And the young people ask, "What are they marching for?"
And I ask myself the same question
