[Opinions] Wdyto Willem
Having super hard times with names. We don't want son to be a jr. But love the name William which is dh name. So we have been tossing around Willem. Wdytho that name. I do t know any Willems. Also we toss around the name Ryker Scott. That is the only name that we have kept on out list the longest. Also quinton has recently been talked about. So curious on responses to Willem, Ryker And Quinton?? Thanks so much

I love Willem. It's a family name for me and though I want to like William, all I hear is YUM at the end which just bothers me even though it's not a big deal. However, I'm not sure how well it really prevents any issues that would come from being a Jr.
Ryker: I actually like this, despite it being a bit trendy. I think it's got a cool sound and I love the sharp edges. That said it makes me think of Riker (character from Star Trek TNG) and Rikers (the prison in New York).
Quinton is handsome, it's pretty uncommon too.
You can make some decent combos just from those 3 actually
Ryker Willem
Willem Ryker
Quinton Willem
Quinton Ryker
All sound good to me

I like William or even Willard or Willis, but am not so fond of Willem. I like Quinten, so I guess Quinton would be ok since it's just a slightly different spelling. Ryker seems strange as a fn and w/ Scott as a mn, would make people wonder if the kid was named by Trekkies.

I like Willem but feel something is missing. Then again, I don't have a long association with the name and that's probably why I feel this way. Among the three, I'd go with Willem although I like Quentin too (this spelling only). Does your husband go by a nn? If he goes by William or Will, you could call your ds Liam.
