1. I love the name Edgar! I prefer Edgar more than Edmund or Edward, and since everyone associates Edgar with Poe it has a very mysterious edge to it.

3. Edgar is a much, much more masculine name than names like Aidan or Tristan (names that can also be used for girls). It's a man's man kind of name.
