[Opinions] Linnea
WDYT of Linnea? I quite like it, and also Minea. They sound bright and fresh to me.I'm amused by some of the comments; apparently it's a pretentious uneducated ghetto name, and a "tough scooter to pass off as a Ferrari in the business world". What on earth? I don't think it sounds remotely uneducated.

Yeah, I don't get those comments, either...After all, it *is* a flower. It's not something somebody just "made up."I quite like it. I go back and forth between the Latin spelling, Linnaea, and the traditional Swedish Linnéa. I would be more inclined to use it as a middle name, though, as I think it goes with a lot.

I like Linnea but I wouldn't use it just because I know so many with this name. I prefer Minea instead which I've liked for a good while and I far prefer this spelling over Minnea which also gets used here.

I like it... not enough to use it myself, but enough to recommend it to someone whose personal style might suit having a child by that name. It's pretty, classy and not overused and all of those are good qualities. Since it's a flower name, the meaning is neutral and you can't get in too much trouble that way, so that's good... I'd think of it as more of a middle or upperclass name than a ghetto name... No idea where the person who commented got the ghetto idea.

I kinda like it as well. Think it's the fact it's a longer version of Lin
