[Opinions] Callan and Callum
What do you think of Callan? Too easily to be confused with Callum or Calum? Which do you prefer? And what do you think of Callum, Calum?

I don't really like Callan. I am just not a fan of surname names. Callum is lovely, though.I prefer the Callum spelling; it just looks more complete. I also know someone called Kalum.

I like Callan, it's cute in a good way. I prefer it over Callum / Calum, which has an awkward sound though it's not horrible. Hope that wasn't confusing. :/

I like Callan. I could easily be persuaded to use it. I don't like Callum as much because it seems trendier (reminds me of Tatum in that way). Calum is better than Callum, but I still prefer Callan. (I do tend to like boys names ending in "an" though :P)

Callan sounds like a surname to me. But I don't think it's too easily confused with Callum because Callum isn't very common in the first place; I'd wager either name would be unfamiliar to most. Personally, I greatly prefer Callum.

I prefer Callan, mainly because Callum has religious undertones. They are both nice names though and I love the nn Cal. I've never gotten them confused and I've met both.

Callan is too trendy for my taste. Callum isn't much better, but it's better than Callan.

Callan is nice. I suppose it would depend on where the Callan lived but his name might get mixed up more with Colin / Collin rather than Calum / Callum. Of the two names I'm more partial to Callum because it's so handsome and I like the meaning and origins better. Calum may be a bit more popular in some countries but for good reason and I don't think that would matter too much. But then both names are really great. :)Callan isn't in the database here, what is the meaning?
