I knew a Jonathan Richard once. Good combo.
Don't enjoy Jonathan much, though. If you'd call him Jon, why not just name him John and avoid the heavy-footed rhythm of Jonathan?
Perhaps this is more likely to happen in South Africa than elsewhere, but Jonathans here are often known as Jonty, which puts me right off with its perpetually juvenile vibe.
