[Opinions] Caia
How about Caia (kye-AH) ? I've read Caia is a feminine form of Caius.

Being that my name is Cara and dh wanted a to name a daughter after me (so wasn't ever going to happen) Caia was a top contender as it's one letter different. We had two boys, so no Cara Jr. THANK GOODNESS!

Love Caia with almost every spelling I see of it (Kaya, Kaia, Kaja, etc.) Not really sure how I feel about the "C" but it could grow on me. A lovely name that is unusual without being outlandish.

It's a fem form of Caius all right, but I'm not sure why you would emphasise the second syllable. KYE-ah would have been more intuitive as well as more Latin. In southern Africa, people are familiar with Kaia or Kaya (usual spellings) meaning a house in the Nguni languages. This, in the form of "picannini Kaya", came to mean an outhouse (= outdoor toilet), so people used to ask, when visiting friends for the first time, "Where's the PK?" This habit is fading, but it would still surprise me to meet a Kaia or a Caia. That said, Makaya Ntini is a national sporting hero in South Africa and was named "Houses" presumably from the suggestion of prosperity and stability. A very different message.

I like it. It reminds me of a version of Kaia, although it's more likely a form of Caius.

Now this, I like! I love how it looks softer than Kaia. It's unique, but similar in sound to lots of names that are popular right now (Cara, Keira, Kylie) so it's not too out there.

I like Caia a lot. I also like Kaia and Kaya. Kaia and Kaya are variants of Katherine as far as I know. Caia could be just a spelling variant of Kaia but I guess it could also be the feminine form of Caius.

I'm a really huge fan of Cai/Kai as a full name or nickname for either gender. So I'd support just about any way to get there. :) Caia sounds really pretty. I'm kinda tempted to make it Kaia, but Caia does feel less trendy, what with Ks being so big right now.Hold it, I just looked at the pronunciation you wrote. Did you mean to put the accent on the second syllable? I'd pronounce it KYE-ah.
