I recently met an adorable toddler with the name Sasha, and just the way she said her name made me love it and her. However I don't think it works on an adult, it is way too cutsey IMO.
It's not popular round here (Midlands, England), I would think Sasha is female, Sacha is male and Sascha I have no idea. :)
