I used to like Maren quite a lot many years ago. Actually, I liked Maryn. (Are you shocked? LOL.) Now, I find it a little harsh sounding. I think it's the emphasis on the Mar sound. Still, I think it would be interesting to meet someone with the name though I prefer Marina.
