I love it and Marina.

I really like this, its one of my favourites. I spell it Marisa but its still nice!

Marissa is pretty but I prefer Marisa (pro. Ma-ree-sah).

I like Marissa / Marisa and find it to be a nice alternative to the Maria. However, with the popularity of "The OC" I wonder if it will become extremely popular in the next few years. Overall, I find M names to be very esthically pleasing and Marissa is a lovely name that would work well with various middle names. Marissa Claire is one of my favourite combinations for the name.

But I don't like "-issa" names, like Marissa, in general. They sound prissy to me.

I like it. My bf named her daughter Maris. She found after we went looking up info on Marissa.

It has a nice sound, but it's nms. The word priss is in there (as in miss priss). It almost looks like a pet form of a name, not just a distant cousin of Mary.
