I always really like Richard! Until I remember I have a weird uncle-cousin-something named Richard. My mother's cousin's husband. Whatever that relation is.
If I heard of a baby being named Richard though I think I would be pretty charmed. Richard's gradually turning into a cool old man name like Arthur and Albert etc.
Like I am holding out hope that if the duchess of whatever has a boy they might name him Richard even though I know it's pretty unlikely. It's got some chivalrous romance to it. Prince Richard! It could be cute.
