I like it. It sounds strong. I used to think it was too 'old', like it would only work on an old person, but I think I started liking it because of "The Sword of Truth".
I wouldn't use it because while I don't think it's 'old' anymore, it is still mature and wouldn't fit a baby. Also I hate all of the nicknames I can think of for it.
Edit: It's an okay middle name. I might use it in a mn slot, actually. I have someone I could honor with it too --my previous babysitter's dad, who was the first person to talk about philosophy with me when I was a little kid :) Apart from my parents, everyone else assumed that 4-5 year olds were "too dumb" to talk about that stuff, so he was a very good influence on me.
