Help[Opinions] Middle name for Lumi
Found out this week by mistake that we're having a girl and it looks like Lumi is a strong first name choice. We're looking for middle names now, we want 2. One will be a Scottish name probably Alba, but I also like Thistle. I'm open to suggestions for the other middle name. DP wants something a bit more mainstream, but is open to interesting choices. We like nature, mythology, historical, Celtic and Scandinavian names.
Lumi is Finnish for snow, so I want to avoid names that make the meaning a bit strange like Tempest 'snow storm' or Indigo 'purple snow'.
Ideas we've thrown about
Lumi Thistle Maeve - my fave, but DP feels it's too strange.
Lumi Katherine Alba - this feels more wearable to him, but feels flat to me
Any suggestions are welcome. Check out my name list for inspiration, but he's ruled out most of those.

Out of Lumi Thistle Maeve and Lumi Katherine Alba, I prefer Lumi Katherine Alba. I don't care for Thistle as a name, but I love Maeve. Katherine seems bland to me, but it sounds nice with Lumi.

Thanks, but we will use Alba or some other name that represents Scotland to us. I love Maeve, but it doesn't have the meaning of Alba or Thistle. Lumi Alba Maeve is the only one of these I'd use. I like Elowen, but DP doesn't. The other names aren't my style.

What about Lumi Alba Maeve? All three are great and I love the sound of the combo.
I appreciate names with meaning but Thistle just sounds so...prickly and harsh, so I can't get behind that personally.

Was considering Rowan today as it was our girls' name for the boys but decided I didn't want to use it because it was too unisex. It would work as a middle though and I know DP likes it. Xanthe was considered for a middle before so might mention it again. Though it's probably too unusual, he wants something a little more usable in case Lumi feels too weird when we get to the UK again.
Laerke is sweet, but I'd go with Lark. I like Sonnet but I know he doesn't. I like Seraphine, but I want to prn it sara-finn which I know isn't right.

Lumi Fiona Maeve? I think it's got the best rhythm of the lot.
Lumi Isabel Alba or Lumi Isabel Maeve might do too. Lumi Margaret Alba?
I have grave doubts about Thistle! So very prickly. But Bluebell would be too soft-centred. What about Lumi Cardua Maeve, or I suppose Lumi Cardua Alba? The botanical name for many thistles is Carduus, so Cardua would be a fem version - a girl thistle!

Not really looking for replacements for Thistle.
Fiona is too dated in Scotland at least and Isabel is so popular I'd never even consider it. Margaret isn't a name either of us likes, and it's my DP's aunt's name and we don't honour family as it causes problems.

I've considered Lumi Alba Maeve but DP's not terribly keen on Maeve so not sure he'll like it.
I kind of like Coral as it would be a nod to a friend of mine named Carol who's been very ill.
That Fern combo makes me think I could maybe use Wren which we both like. Also like Olive, but don't think it flows particularly well here. Too many Ls or something.
