[Opinions] Ceci
What do you think of the nickname Ceci?
How do you pronounce it, and which full name do you like best?

I love it. My daughter's name is Cecilia, and I call her Ceci a lot. We say "see-see", unless you're my 2 year old son, then it's zee-zee, lol. We call her Celia some too, though not as much as I had thought we would...though other people do call her that more. Anyway, I digress. But yeah, I love Ceci.

I pronounce it like C C or SEE see. I much prefer the spellings Cece or CC but it is a really cute nickname that I think will age well. I prefer it for Cecelia or a first middle name combo like Charlotte Claire.

Ceci ("SEE-see") is cute, but only as a nn. It needs something more substantial like Cecily, or Araceli. :-)

I like it just fine as a nickname. It's cute on a little girl. For a full name, my favorite would definitely be Cecilia. I'm in a Cecilia phase right now- love it!ETA: I say "see-see."

I had a good friend in junior high named Cecilia who went by Ceci. I really liked it at the time and still don't mind it. Maybe because I knew this teenage one, it never seemed too cutesy to me.

I think it's a cute nickname for long, formal names like Cecilia. I greatly prefer it Celia. I say it "sessy" like the first part of Cecilia.

It's pronounced See See. I remember there was a little song we sang as kids when playing a kind of clapping/rhythm game, "Ceci, my playmate, won't you come out and play?" I forget the rest of it.On a real person it seems sickly and cutesy. Like Boo-Boo or Lulu or Gigi.

At first glance: CHE-chee, like the garbanzo bean/chickpea. But I know it could easily be SEE-see, from Cecilia or Cecily.
