[Opinions] Caledonia
from a thread down bellow, I just fell head over heals in love with this name.I'm thinking nn Calla or Nella thought that's a stretch.WDYT?Bonus points for combos--especially with names from my list.

Not a name to meToo placey. I know it's a name for Scotland, but it's the name of a town near me. So it just seems weird as a name. I guess it has a nice namey sound though, if I didn't have that problem.

Lovely.Caledonia really is a lovely name. I'm surprised that it isn't in the database. Calla and Callie are both good nicknames.

I like it, although it sounds a bit placey to me (mostly because I'm in a DnD campaign right now and the party's home nation is called Caledonia).

DP is from Scotland and we lived there for 20 years, but I couldn't use it as a name, just a bit cheesy. We did use Calla though. I prefer Alba which will be one of our middle names for this baby I think.

Can't see it on a real person. I have this feeling it's been used in a lot of fantasy novels.

How are you pronouncing it? If its cal-eh-DOAN-ee-ah that sounds really unattractive to me, sorry.Nella is definitely a stretch. Calla is much more intuitive.
