Don't worry, it's a GP. What do you think? Could it ever work?

I am a diehard Firefly (tv show) fan, but I have curiously never thought about it as a name until now. It's definitely a GP, but I wouldn't mind using it as a middle name (I'd combine it with a more conventional first name so the kid has a choice).
Or maybe I'd use it as a first name because I aim to misbehave ;)

I absolutely adore Firefly! (the tv show)
I would name a dog Firefly. I would use it as a middle name in a heartbeat. It's awesome. Their mention of Zelda Firefly is stuck in my head.

Hey I think it's more workable than Carousel, one of my wilder ideas :)
I like it. It's definitely got a hippy vibe, but it's fresher than something like Rainbow or Butterfly. I'd pair it with something really serious, like Firefly Bartholomew or Firefly Gertrude.

I've thought about Firefly as a GP myself. It's so cute, isn't it? I don't think it would ever work in real life, though. Maybe as a middle name, but even then it's rather out-there. Still, I really like it as a GP.

I had thought of the show. I don't watch it, but I know it exists.

Nah...only makes me think of fireflies going: "Oooh, what's that nice shiny thing up there...wow, it's like the sun! Is it the sun? Wow, gonna fly a little clo"...ZAP
