German for clover

Klee is just the German word for clover, so no, definitely not. I know word names aren't unusual in English speaking countries, but you'd get laughed at here with a name like that.

Doubt you'd even be allowed to use it in the first place, because thankfully we have laws against nonsense like that ;).

Paul Klee is one of my favorite artists, but even I think it's weird to use the name as a first name. Clea doesn't appeal to me either. If you like the sound/look, what about Cleo?

Klee reminds me of dolphins for some reasons. Clea if pronounced Clee-ah is better.

I don't like the sound of it. It's not "enough". Clea is pretty, though.

Cleo I could deal with, but not Klee. It looks hideous to me.
Clea is better than Klee, but it still isn't something I'd like to see used.

Klee Wyck was the name given to Emily Carr by the first nations of the Northwest Coast (I believe it was the Haida, but art history a long time ago). For that reason I can get the appeal, but it looks and sounds very strange.

Clea - CLEE-ah is nice, I've never heard it pronounced like Klee.

Reminds me of Kree, which was the name of a female contestant on American Idol this year. I actually like Kree, but I'm not feeling Klee. It sounds a bit silly to me, for some reason. I don't like Clea either, but I do like Cleo.

When I saw Klee, I thought "Brilliant artist but not much of a name - why not Paul?" And then your post seems to suggest you're seeing it as a girl name that sounds like Clea. Is that right? I've never heard or heard of Clea being pronounced like Klee!

German for clover, was my first thought. I have loved the sound of that since I learnt it in German class. Doesn't sound as good in English though, and if it's supposed to be another spelling of Clea, rather than a German word, I don't really like it. Are you pronouncing Clea and Klee the same? I like Clea, but only with two syllables.

Not feeling it. It seems made-up or incomplete, or both. Klee looks like a radio station to me.
