I immediately thought of TMNT, too! And l of course, with that, the artist. I really don't like the name, though. It makes me think of pasta and other Italian foodstuffs. The nns Dona and Tella don't appeal to me, either.

I was thinking about Donatella a couple weeks ago. I think it's very engaging, I like it... but I don't think I could use it as a first name myself, but I'd be stoked if someone else had the guts.

I thought of Donatella Versace right away, and now I can't get the image of her face out of my head.

I don't think of Versace at all. If you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't even have remembered it was her first name.

The only Donatella I think of is Donna from Aaron Sorkin's The West Wing. Her real name was Donatella even though they only say it a handful times throughout the show. It's a shame that such a pretty name like Donatella is always shortened to Donna. Very sad, indeed.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is not a better association for me. Throw in Nutella and you have a pretty much unusable name.
