[Opinions] Mirielle?
We are still debating on our baby girls name. My husband likes Mirielle over Marielle. Does this name seem made up or hard to pronounce? Meer-e-el
Thanks

I adore Marielle. It's a French diminutive of Marie so Mirielle doesn't make sense to me. (OTOH, the lovely French Mireille does.) Marielle is not a common name so I don't think you need to get kr8eef with the spelling. I also think people would automatically assume the Marielle spelling or either Mariel (after Mariel Hemingway). I don't think it's hard to pronounce at all, but I do think Mirielle looks contrived.
I like the way Mirielle looks better, but the pronunciation is not as intuitive. I too thought you meant Mireille when I saw your title. I do think MEER-ee-el is pretty, though.
Both are ugly. Brielle sounds better.
Brielle seems more made up to me, and a little trashy maybe? think they are beautiful names but thanks for your opinion.
I really like Mirielle/Marielle. I think it is such a cute name, but pretty at the same time. I prefer the Marielle spelling though. However, I don't mind Mirielle.
Thanks!
Whar does LOTR mean? Thanks! I want to call her Elle for her nn.
In case no one has answered, LOTR is short-hand for Lord of The Rings.
Indicating, I suppose,a flavour of "long ago and far away", romantic, mythical.
I have a bracelet that I call my Lord of the Rings bracelet, it's darkened silver with garnets. I feel like a princess from a far-away land when I wear it.(Though I don't look like one, otherwise!)

Oh! I thought it was some name reference! Haha. Thanks!
