[Opinions] Rosalind, Rosemary and Rosamund...
Thoughts and opinions on these three Rose- names? I'm especially in love with Rosalind but are they too clunky? Do you think any of these could fit okay with a brother named Lucius (pronounced loo-shus)?Also what is your favorite Rose- name?
PS: I had my baby! His name is Lucius Orion Krasimir but we nicknamed him Loki (for his initials).

My favourite is Rosalind (I would use it to honour Rosalind Franklin, one of my scientific heroes), but I also quite like Rosamund, though it sounds a little clunky it my opinion. Clunkier than Rosalind, at least. My least favourite is Rosemary. I used to like it when I was younger, but now it just sounds stifling and dated. Also congrats on your baby! Loki is an adorable nickname.edited for typos

Rosemary is definitely my fave of the three. I think it would go with Lucius quite nicely.

I really like Rosalind and Rosemary...not a fan of Rosamund though. The "mund" part just sounds ugly to me. Rosemary is very soft, not clunky at all - although Rosalind is a little clunky. Both Rosalind and Rosemary sound nice with Lucius, although I think Rosalind matches Lucius the best. Rosalie is probably my favourite Rose- name. I also like Rosa.

Rosemary is my favorite, especially with the nickname Romy. I think Lucius and Rosemary go well together, and Loki and Romy are a cute little nickname set. Rosalind is my next favorite, but the nasally "roz" kind of turns me off. I keep thinking of the administrative monster in Monster's Inc ("Wazowwwski! You didn't file your paperwork!")Rosamund is okay, but where the others don't feel clunky, this one does.

I'm not a fan of any of these Rose- names.
I love Rose on it's own, followed by Rosa, Rosalie, and Roseline / Rosaline. However if I were to pick a favourite from your three it would be Rosalind. Rosamund is my least favourite because I find the -mund eding to be masucline and clunky (makes me think of Edmund). Rosemary reminds me of an overweight old woman too.I like Rose and Lucius would be a cute sibset. :)

Interesting pronunciation issues! Rosemary and Rosamund (I prefer the symmetry of Rosamond) start with Rose, but Rosalind surely starts with Roz? Like Roswitha?I prefer Rosamond, then Rosemary, then Rosabel probably. Rosalind doesn't appeal to me nearly as much, perhaps because of a bad experience with a Rosalind colleague who did her name no favours. But the Shakespeare link is good. I don't hear any of them as clunky at all.As for Lucius, I think Rosemary would be the best match.

Rosalind is my current favorite Rose- name. I don't think it's clunky. I used to find it too heavy, but I've really come around to it. It reminds me of Victorian homes and antiques. Rosemary was my favorite Rose- name before Rosalind. It's old fashioned and sweet. Rosamund, on the other hand, I can't quite come around to. I do find it a bit clunky and definitely too heavy for me.I think all three sound fine with Lucius.I also like Rose, Rosalie, and to a lesser extent Rosa.

I'd say the short and sweet Rose is my favorite, however, I do really like Rosalind and Rosemary (mainly to arrive at the nn, Romy). I don't think they're clunky at all. I even like Rosanna. Rosamund, otoh, is clunky and unappealing.Congrats on the birth of Loki!

Rosanna! That's my favorite of all.

None of them are clunky. Rosalind is the prettiest, Rosemary is the friendliest, and Rosamund is the most stately. They're fine with Lucius - maybe a little strange with Loki though! Congrats on the baby!

I agree! I adore all three names, though my favorite is probably Rosalind. I think Rosamund complements Lucius the best.

How are you pronunicing it?If it's roz-a-lind I love the name. I don't think it's too clunky at all. I prefer rosa-mund to roza-mund, though, however I think it's too old-fashioned. Rosemary is eh - not my think at all.I think Rosalind and Lucius is a cute sib set.
