I think it's the sound. The HUH, the pushing out of breath, is kind of comic. It gives me a vague impression of football (huddle), but a cartoonish one. I guess besides the HUH sound I just don't like the style - surnamey names seem hypersporty and impersonal to me, hard to take seriously. Hudson isn't awful, it's just not any better than Jackson or Ryder.
