[Opinions] Electra
I went off this name for a while, but my friend just told me it was the name she used to give people at frat parties, and hearing her say it in real life -- it sounds wonderful! ull-ECK-truh. It works! As a name, it works!Er, I guess this is just an official announcement that Electra is now on my list. Also, I'm in a phase where I basically only like girl names, even for boys.I like it when I post a name and people reply with five combos. I'm gonna request that.

Electra makes me think of CATS and T. S. Elliot. and such.
I do vaguely think of Greek mythology, but mostly I think of dancing tabby cats.Electra Winifred
Electra Josephine
Electra Rosalie / Rosaline
Electra Juliet
Electra Sophia -I like the double A ending.

I do think it's uber cool but it still has too much baggage for me to really love.... at least as much as a I LOVE Elettra :) She's a better compromise for me not only in that she mimics my other love [Allegra] but also maintains all the electricity of Electra without all the stigma.ETAElectra Verity
Electra Fern
Electra Luanne
Electra Beryl
Electra Phebe
Electra Perrine
Electra Dale
Electra Opal
Electra Merryn
Electra Zoe

Elettra's super pretty.Oh man, Electra Beryl is really bad! So is Electra Dale. And Electra Merryn. (I'm only saying this bc I know you can take it)
ALso because there are some really nice ones on here too. I think I like Electra Zoe the most, but they're all decent, especially Electra Perrine and Electra Phebe.

Alright, maybe Electra Beryl and Electra Dale aren't the best but I really like Electra Merryn! :)

It does have some spunk.

Hm, ull-ECK-truh, that actually is good. I usually imagine it ee-LECK-truh.
It's the electrifying association that is holding me back. Paralyzing me, if you will.
Sorry, can't handle Electra on a man. Too cartoonish.
Also Electra reminds me of Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqB36FsglEE
Electra Solo
Electra Germaine
Electra Manuela (Mahn-WELL-uh, mah-noo-ELL-uh with a very short nou)
Electra Nikita
Electra Paget

Electra is one of the best names EVER.This name was always on my list when I first "discovered" names, back in junior high. It's still a favorite. How 'bout...1. Electra Monroe
2. Electra Rosario
3. Electra Christelle
4. Electra Faustina
5. Electra Severine

Electra screams stripper to me. Or a girl with a fake tan, fake boobs and fake blond hair.I'd go with something classic in the middle for a fall back name.Electra Vivienne
Electra Caroline
Electra Louise
Electra Abigail
Electra MaryAs I was trying to find a middle name that somewhat flowed I found Electra kept sounding more and more odd to me in sound. The sounds just seem so forced and not attractive after saying it a few times.

I think if you switched Electra Vivienne to Vivienne Electra it would be awesome.

I like Greek mythology and luckily, the myth around Electra (Or Elektra in Greek spelling) isn't that bad. It's a bit too connected to the word electricity for me to use, but I understand why you like it. Electra Molly Bryn
Electra Poppy Mae
Electra Posy Bree
Electra Rory Sage
Electra Lucy RoseI like idea of Electra paired with a cutesy two-syllable middle and a one-syllable 3rd name.

Hmm yes, that's a nice pattern. I keep thinking spices and flavors with these combos -- the other posters, too. Sage, Rose, Poppy... am I hungry or something? Even "Bree" sounds like a flavor right now. I think Electra Rory Sage is probably the coolest of these.

It sounds like a name someone uses because they want to be different. I have the association with the movie Electra, which I didn't see but it looked absolutely dreadful and apparently didn't do so well, so other people may also have a negative association with it. Not to mention it has that electric thing to it.
Oh, that and its basically the name of a vengeful murderess (see the meaning of the name for details). Not my thing. In theory though, if we are just choosing names based on a neanderthal desire to make noises then sure, it has a cool sound to it. Since you are requesting combinations though I will give you:Electra Inez
Electra Lenore
Electra Shock (haha, had to)
Electra Viatrix
Electra Xochitl

I like that electric thing, sort of the main attraction, for me!
Not bothered by the vengeful murderess. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta doElectra Lenore is pretty sweet. Very swooping and dramatic.
Electra Viatrix is pretty interesting. I've never really internalized Viatrix as a name, but it's actually pretty cool. Haven't really internalized Inez, and definitely not Xochitl.

I studied classical civilisation for a levels so Electra always makes me think of greek myths. Also there was an electrical suppliance store in the town I live called Elektra. So personally I find the name unusable.Electra Amber
Electra Sienna
Electra Saffron
Electra Hebe
Electra Thalia

Well, of course it makes you think of Greek myths!
Bad name for an appliance store...These are super cool combos. I don't think I've ever liked Amber in my life, and I like it here. Saffron also gives a nice splash. I think maybe I've been setting Electra up next to uncolorful names in my head, to try to excuse it -- but it seems like it goes better with really flavorful ones. Electra Hebe is my favorite of all - could even stand a third name, maybe. Awesome. Hefty and light at once.
