I like Marguerite.
My mom had a friend named Marguerite, so I grew up hearing the name all the time. It was just an everyday name to me.
The only other Marguerite I have known of was the daughter of a co-worker. He and his wife named their baby Marguerite about 15 years ago.
BTW, the first Marguerite was from Illinois and the second from Colorado. As far as I know, there was no French connection in either case. Both families were of German heritage.
