I've never met a Gilroy. It's kind of silly sounding, but that's because it's reminding me of the WWII "Kilroy was here" cartoon / graffiti. I do like the nn Gil alot. Hmmm. Give me some time to let Gilroy settle in before I give him a thumbs up or down. Is it in the database? Do you have any information on it? Is it purely a surname being used as a fn, or it is more mixed than that? Or perhaps it's not a surname at all. I assume the "-roy" part means king. But the "Gil" part eludes me. Any info you've got would be appreciated. Gilroy Featherduster (where did that come from?)
