Help[Opinions] German Names?
Husband and I are looking at getting a miniature schnauzer puppy! My grandmother has one and we have just fallen in love with her (her name is Buttons!).
We were thinking about possibly a German name :) I kinda want a boy puppy but we are open for both! (colouring will be black and white)
Our other animals:
Tonkinese girl cat: Harriet Rowena "Hattie"
Ragdoll boy cat: Fergus Alasdair
Rabbit: Willoughby Percival
Guinea pig: Edmund Pyrrhus
These are some I like, but suggest away! Also Bruno is out because thats next doors Jack Russell and other family dogs are: Ruby, Peggy, Sally, Angus and also Luna (cat) and Humphrey (bird).

I also like the idea of Otto and Marcel on a schnauzer.
(Theoretically, I'd like Gustav on a dog, too. Then again, if the name is used on an animal here, said animal is usually a goose, so picturing it on a dog is a little weird for me right now ;) )
Other than that... how about Fridolin?

How can you resist Rolf for a boy dog? You'd have so much fun saying it with an exaggerated German accent. Second choices: Manfred (sounds like "man's friend") and Ivo ("EE-vo"). Or, a wild card: Benedikt? :-)
As for a girl, my darling Elsa / Elsie first popped to mind. But the similarity to Elise is too much, darn it. Backup choices: Elke and Elfriede. Wildcard: Madelief?
