I understand that Na'ima (Naima) is an Arabic name, but unless the person is visibly of such descent, my impression would likely be that it was made up (due to appearance, and, especially, pronunciation). It is not my style of name, it doesn't really appeal to me, but I suppose that it isn't too unbearable.

Wow that sounds beautiful. It's not how I would have guessed it was pronounced, but it's very nice. I'd go with a simple one-syllable middle name, probably. Naima June? Naima Ruth?

I agree about the one-syllable middle name. Naima Ruth is really nice! I was thinking Naima Jade.

I think Naima is quite beautiful. I'm not sure if I could get away with using it for my kid. I would love to meet one. I think it needs a one syllable middle name, something that doesn't overshadow it, but complements it.

I knew of it because of the John Coltrane song Naima, named after his wife. I actually met a Naima in one of my classes, but she went by Nemo. I was so so disappointed - it's such a gorgeous name!

Naima is very pretty. I would suggest Naima Rose, but Rose is overused as a middle name at this point, so if you don't like that, how 'bout...Naima Sarai?

I love how Naima Rose sounds, so much that I might not care about how overused Rose is...Naima Sarai is really cool, but visually it looks strange to me - probably because they both have the same vowels but jumbled round, and the same number of letters. Not that that matters much though.
