[Opinions] Ford
One of the guys I'm staying with is named Ford. Drives a Volkswagen. Nice name! Rather... upright. Not feeling creative with combos, just Arthur Ford and that's it. What do you guys think of this name? Any combos?

I kind of like it. Too bad it's a brand of cars...that turns me off of it a bit. It's got a cool sound though. It actually sounds like a celebrity name to me.
I don't like it. It just reminds me of the car company. Besides that, it's quite surname-ish, which I generally dislike. And it sounds cold to me.
The name itself I guess is a bit rustic, straight to the point, no nonsense. Even though I have many associations for it, my mind would automatically come to the conclusion that the parents are a bit too smitten with their Ford car/truck, or something similar. It isn't a very professional name.

One of my daughter's friends has a father named Ford. The last name is very similar in sound to Pinto, and I have to stop myself from referring to him as Ford Pinto.
With Ford you run the risk of any combo sounding like a new model of car.
