I like the hell out of Magdolna! Great melodramatic effect. But Magdalen remains my favourite. I also like Magda.

Magdala isn't as good as the other Magdalena names, imo. I find it brings out the ugly side. The -ala part is too in your face.

The only Mag name I like is Magdalena, and even then I'd never use it because it's too...intense. Magdala/Magdela is a calmer version of Magdalena but somehow all the attractiveness of Magdalena got taken out. I feel like Magdala forces you to pay more attention to the "mag" part, which then makes me think of maggots. Are you pronouncing it MAG-duh-la or mag-DAL-uh? Originally I was pronouncing it the first way, but I much prefer the second.

I don't like Magdolna...it sounds really ugly to me for some reason. It makes me think of a grumpy old lady. Maybe because the "ol" part sounds like "old".
