Here in South Africa, black parents often use Annah, on the reasonable grounds that there's an H on the end of Susannah, Deborah etc. And then it gets extended to other -a names without a Hebrew pedigree. I've seen Dianah a couple of times, and also Vinoliah - which perhaps makes it more human and less soapy.
I wouldn't use this kind of variant - I don't do variants, usually, and I can spot a false etymology at 500 paces - but at least it indicates that some thought has gone into the naming process.
