[Opinions] Jovita
I have a colleague called Jovita. She is Indian and pronounces it juh-VEE-ta, not ho-VEE-ta as the database suggests.I really like it. I think it's because the "jo" part make think of the word "joy" and Vita means "life" in Latin. So I think it has a really happy and vibrant feel. What do you think? Have you encountered this name before?

I dont particularly like it but I do like the reference to Joy and Life. I dont care for names with Jo in it for women too much. I would like it more if it was Javita. It just sounds more feminine to me.

She does pronounce it more like Javita actually, the 'jo' sounds kind of gets lost.

Cool! I like that pronunciation. I have a friend named Lovita who pronounces it luh-VEE-ta and often goes by Vita. I like that too. Vibrant is the vibe (he he) I get.I never encountered any pronunciation of Jovita.

I've not encountered Jovita before, but I did know a Lovita, very similar. She wasn't Indian though, and I never learned what the story was behind her name. Jovita is really pretty. It does have a very vibrant aura to it! I prefer it with the Jo- begining rather than the Ho- one.

Lol, I basically answered the same as you. Any chance we know the same Lovita? Is yours from our city as well?
