[Opinions] Jovita
I have a colleague called Jovita. She is Indian and pronounces it juh-VEE-ta, not ho-VEE-ta as the database suggests.
I really like it. I think it's because the "jo" part make think of the word "joy" and Vita means "life" in Latin. So I think it has a really happy and vibrant feel.
What do you think? Have you encountered this name before?

She does pronounce it more like Javita actually, the 'jo' sounds kind of gets lost.
Yes, this name jas a sprightful feel :) And sounds pretty cute to my ears, when I read it I thought your colleague was an incredibly sweet person.
Here in Brazil it's a nickname for Jovelina.

Cool! I like that pronunciation. I have a friend named Lovita who pronounces it luh-VEE-ta and often goes by Vita. I like that too. Vibrant is the vibe (he he) I get.
I never encountered any pronunciation of Jovita.

Lol, I basically answered the same as you. Any chance we know the same Lovita? Is yours from our city as well?
Maybe! We were in the same high school!
