[Opinions] Rhett
I came across the name Rhett recently and I really like it.
What do you think of this name for a boy? Any combos?

All I can think of is Rhett Butler from Gone with the Wind. I don't really like it.

I know a guy named Rhett, and there's a country music singer named Rhett. I like it, but it's a GP for me. And I don't dare bring it up to my husband, because he'd jump right on it. I don't know about combos, though. But I do like it. :)

I've got it on my list. For me, it's a better fn than mn.Rhett Beckett
Rhett Benedict
Rhett Bennett
Rhett Lennon
Rhett Vincent
Rhett Zephyr
Geordan Rhett
Houston Rhett
Kenji Rhett
Lennon Rhett
But this makes me want to play with it more. Probably'd make a better mn with a more standard-issue fn.John Rhett
James Rhett
Charles Rhett
Matthew Rhettetc etc

Rhett is such a Lillian name. I hope I don't just think that because of Scarlett.

I associate it with Rhett Butler from Gone with the Wind. But it's a handsome, dashing name.

Everyone keeps saying it reminds them of Rhett Butler but I had to Google who that was. To me it reminds me of the country singers Thomas Rhett Akins Sr. and Jr. who go by Rhett (Sr.) and Thomas Rhett (Jr.). The name seems harsh and like there is not enough to it.

I like it. To me it's strong and romantic without being impossible for an average man to carry. I like that the impression it gives me is so frankly masculine. It reminds me of Rhett Butler, of course. It's pretty versatile for combos. I like:Rhett William
Rhett Anthony
Rhett Stephen
Rhett Ambrose
Rhett Charles

I haven't read the other responses yet, but I bet that someone has already mentioned Rhett Butler (unless they haven't). It's a strong association for me, so Rhett brings to mind an intelligent, suave, sophisticated, cynical, ultra-masculine darkly handsome man.Anyway, I like it.

It feels incomplete to me. I don't know whether this is because I know someone called Brett, and Rhett kind of feels like a cheap rip off of this... I prefer Brett. In the middle I think something more sophisticated and longer would work better:
Rhett Alexander
Rhett Sebastian
Rhett Tobias
Rhett Damian
Rhett ElijahSomething like that :)

Hmm I don't like it that much. Kind of more surname-y.Rhett Alfred
Rhett Conrad
Rhett Major
Rhett Merlin
Rhett Nestor

It looks okay written out, but when I pronounce it I feel like it's lacking something. I feel like I should like it because I like names like Brett and Brant, but Rhett feels like it slips out of my mouth too quickly. It doesn't sound like a full name, it sounds like a nickname.

I actually kind of like but I think that it is too closely associated with Rhett Butler for me to use personally.
