Message: "Ann" - Behind the Name

I'm starting to be enticed by the simplicity of Ann. I have been in a very no-frills-at-all mood artistically (such as Shaker architecture), and this seems to be the onomastic equivalent of those feelings at this time.

There is something about Ann that is extremely comfortable, while also retaining some great mystery that I can't quite access. When true simplicity is gained.

Ann Beatrix, Ann Katherine, or Ann Elizabeth.

I also know an Ann Bridget, which I like, but I wouldn't want to copy her.

I don't mind Ann, but I do prefer the spelling Anne just because it makes it seem more "complete" to me somehow. But if you're going for minimalistic, I can see how the e is unnecessary.

Ann is a bore-fest. Anne is only slightly less bore-festy.

There is such a vast difference between Ann and Anne to me. Ann is such a dullard and Anne is a beauty. I don't know why that E makes such a huge difference, but it just does. My MN is Ann and I've always wished it were Anne.

I love Ann(e) with a complex MN. Anne Beatrix is lovely. Anne Tallahassee (the city where I'm from) is a GP of mine.

I prefer Anne with an E. It seems more balanced, complete than Ann.

I prefer the slightly frillier Anne. The simplicity of the name is nice, but I'm not usually in a mood for overly simple names. As a result, it's not one of my favorites. I prefer Anna.

I voted for Ann Beatrix in your poll and I think these two names, with Ann spelled this way, feel very fitting with one another; the combo is warm and open and friendly. Personally, I prefer the Anne spelling, but not with Beatrix.

I like Ann. All of your combos are great, but I think Ann Beatrix and Ann Elizabeth flow slightly better than Ann Katherine. I'm just not overly fond of the double 'n' sound endings, but if that doesn't bother you, then I can't find anything wrong with it. :)
